Audrey, 14 and 15 Months
Oops, mama’s been a little busy these last couple of months and it looks like Audrey’s 14 and 15 month updates are going to be a 2-for-1. Audrey now has 8 teeth and a couple of molars about to break through. She’s been a champ with teething so far, we usually can’t even tell she’s teething, but these molars are a different story! They are definitely every bit the challenge other moms have warned me about. Audrey has added quite a lot of words to her vocabulary, including door, nai-nai (milk in Chinese), knife (sounds like nai), tigo-tigo (tickle tickle), na-na (banana), bo-to (bottle), goa-goa (good night)… I’m sure I’m forgetting a few here but her vocabulary has been steadily growing. She also gives kisses and mouth farts on command (and I’ll leave you to guess which parent taught her the latter).
Her 15 months stats:
Weight: 20.2 lbs
Height: 30.5 in
Hair: Medium brown curly hair! As Audrey’s hair has gotten longer it has gotten curlier and curlier, oh my what are we going to do with the styling as she gets older?
Favorite Activity: Throwing the ball and playing fetch with Lonestar. Audrey has gotten quite good at the overhand throw and loves being able to interact with Lonestar in a new way.
She is still quite into dancing. In fact, she choreographed this entire routine to The Beatles’ “If I Fell”
Audrey is also thoroughly enjoying the learning tower that BaBa built for her (from an IKEA Bekvam step stool!) She can now see what MaMa is doing while cooking and she even participates by being mama’s little sous chef!
She is also quite into imitating her parents. Here she imitates MaMa in a downdog pose, as she frequently does in Mommy + Me yoga.
Fun Adventure: For the second year in a row, Audrey participated in Austin’s Free Museum Day. This year we visited the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and Austin Museum of Art’s Laguna Gloria. This photo of Audrey came in third place in their photo contest!
In August, Audrey went to a splash pad for the very first time and thoroughly enjoyed herself!
